Application
The black 150mm firestop cover plate is used to cover an existing firestop plate. By installing this, it provides the whole installation with a nice finish while still allowing air to enter the chamber without compromise.
The black 150mm firestop cover plate is suitable for use on solid fuel and gas/oil appliances. For example, woodstoves, gas coal effect fires, oil boiler and any other solid fuel appliances.
Construction
The outer skin of the 150mm twin wall firestops are made from 304-grade stainless steel and they are 0.4mm thick. The exterior is powder coated in a high-temperature black finish for a sleek appearance. The inner skin is made from 316-grade stainless steel and it is 0.4mm thick. The insulation used is compressed rockwool, which gives a density of 128kg per cubic metre. All of the parts are fully welded.
The distance to combustibles is 60mm.
Approvals
The 150mm firestop cover plate is HETAS approved and it is also CE marked.
Installation
These twin wall insulated chimney parts are secured together by using a Locking Band.
Make sure that you keep a distance of 60mm from the outside of the flue to any combustible material (wood, plaster board).
